Ancestry also displayed as 8th ggf, possibly because of Mary, but then he would be 8th & 9th, and is in the 9th spot on the family tree.

Also, there are 2 records in Find a Grave for him. One is 1608-1682, and the other is 1598-1682; both have the same information except for the birth year. Both are listed and linked to Sarah Hopcott with a marriage date of 1639.  I chose the 1608 date of birth as more likely, but the 1598 date is also very possible.
